EnergyCoin joins forces with the biggest climate campaign in the Netherlands

With 240.000 people who join the WarmSweaterDay annually, it is the most notable climate campaign in the Netherlands (the “Warmetruiendag” in Dutch). Over the past 12 years, this climate action day grew into a well-known phenomenon in the Netherlands. Schools, companies, the Dutch railway, municipalities, universities, museums are making a climate statement on that day at www.warmetruiendag.nl. At Twitter #warmetruiendag is trending topic, Dutch celebrities join this action, it’s on national TV, newspapers write about it, and almost every year the weather reporters mention the campaign at the 8 o’clock countrywide news.

WarmSweaterDay pilot project
We are starting a pilot including one hundred WarmSweaterDay participants with a smart gas meter to store their avoided gas usage on the EnergyCoin blockchain.
Participants set a target how much they want to save on gas in one month and when they achieve that goal, they are rewarded in an amount of warm sweater day tokens corresponding to how much gas they did not use. The avoided gas usage is converted into saved emissions of greenhouse gases. In the conversion a warm sweater token is created and information is stored on the Blockchain.
Initiation of the EnergyCoin ecosystem
The WarmSweaterDay pilot, together with the cycling pilot with Ring-Ring, is an initiation of the EnergyCoin ecosystem.

More about the WarmSweaterDay
The Warmetruiendag (the WarmSweaterDay) is organized by the Dutch Climate Alliance, Klimaatverbond an association of 180 Dutch local governments. Since 2007 this campaign celebrates the birthday of the Kyoto climate protocol annually. The Warmetruiendag reminds people that the greenest energy is the energy you don’t use.
Together we can save 70% energy worldwide, with all the knowledge and techniques that are already available. The massive potential of saving energy as part of the solution of the climate problem is in the spotlights every edition.
And we need to show each other what we do to reduce the emission of greenhouse gasses to tackle the prisoner’s dilemma. The biggest threat to a living planet is feeling helpless.
The campaign encourages people to turn down the temperature by one degree and instead to keep warm by wearing an extra warm sweater. The result of this seemingly simple act is an energy savings of six percent per degree. The warm sweater is a symbol for all the actions people can easily (and comfortably) do to save energy.
The WarmSweaterDay campaign challenges individuals, schools, government organisations, companies and universities to turn down their heat and to communicate what they do the rest of the year to save energy.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stated a few weeks ago that we have around 12 years to decarbonize our society and avoid a dangerous climate breakdown. Rising public interest in climate change and biodiversity could rapidly push policy and markets towards transformative change when amplified. Our goal is to raise funds to reward people who are joining measurable climate actions, avoiding emissions of greenhouse gasses and restore nature. Also, this makes their (individual) actions more visible.

We are sure that majority of you know about EC Core and EC Web clients, but for the new members of the growing EnergyCoin community.
EnergyCoin Core Client
With Core Client there are few benefits. Most important is staking. Staking is basically mining cryptocurrency that is PoS (proof of stake), with more weight (how much ENRG you got), you earn your coins faster. Second important benefit of Core Client is that you don’t need the internet for it to work, it is an offline wallet. As you could figure out from the context, there is no staking on a web wallet. There is one part that takes time, and it is syncing. You can find details about downloading and syncing here.
EnergyCoin Web Client
Our web wallet is easy for usage, and everyone can create one without downloading anything, just click here and create one for yourself if you haven’t thus far. Advantage of a web wallet is that there is no syncing, no waiting, nothing complicated, just simple clicks and you’re done and ready to transfer your ENRG to the address you received. Is it safe? Yes, it is. Just make sure that you save your “private key” somewhere safe where no one can look. With it, you can restore all of your funds due server crash or any other kind of issue and you can sync your web wallet with your Core Client any time you want.
EnergyCoin Dashboard App: first version

The first version of the App will be web-based with a primary function to register users green behavior to the environment, through rewards received from EnergyCoin partner organisations like Ring-Ring and WarmSweaterDay. It displays info that track how friendly you are to the environment by cycling a bike or putting on a sweater and turning down the energy consumption in your home: total amount of saved kWh, m3 gas (m3 of gas costs 67 eurocent) and prevented CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The dashboard will keep users record on daily, weekly, monthly, 6 months and yearly basis, as well as an overall view from the registration date. Our ultimate goal is to save our environment as much as possible, by showing you benefits of it, environmental and financial.
As there is a way to track with our App how much funds you’ve saved while behaving green, and how thankful the environment is for your behavior, we come to the secondary function of the App. You will not just be saving funds, but you also receive rewards from our partners!
Phase two consideration
Initial rewards will be in bicycle bits(BB) or a different virtual token. When you receive your virtual token, you can request from our partner to exchange that token for ENRG. In the App will be displayed how much ENRG would you receive for the virtual tokens you got as a reward.

Update Crex24 & NovaExchange

Crex24
It has been 10 days since EnergyCoin was listed on crex24, and thus far we are satisfied with crex24 services and support, providing 24/7 working platform with clear interface that is simplified enough for the beginners, yet with advanced tools that can be used by the experienced traders. Their fees are pretty fair as well, maker rebate is 0.01% and taker fee is 0.10%. Big thanks to crex24, keep trading guys!
P.S. EnergyCoin is still on CoinMarketCap, it was marked as inactive cryptocurrency since delisting from Bittrex; If we continue with current ENRG volumes on Crex24 and add one more exchange we expect to be back to CoinMarketCap as an active cryptocurrency.
NovaExchange
ENRG is listed on NovaExchange, it can be deposited and traded there if you have an account already. Soon enough, as they’ve said, we will know when are they going to re-open NovaExchange and everyone is going to able to register again. “In 10–12 days we will announce the date for re-opening.” was part of their article from 8th November. So we expect their announcement about re-opening not later than 20th November. We will keep you guys updated!

We are very happy to announce that we are officially listed. Today we have received a message from the Crex24 team that they have opened ENRG-BTC market. From now on you can make ENRG deposits to your Crex24 account and trade ENRG.
One more exchange
Now that we are listed on a new exchange, our goal is to get listed on one more. We are still considering what exchange would be the best option for our project. When we narrow the list of options, we will let you know where else ENRG might be tradeable.
